Kevin James at his best. How I wish I could just flippantly move to Italy and fall in love. So what if I have a family of 5? ONE CAN DREAM.
Solo Mio blends a lot of themes and elements. Rom com, drama, fish out of water, international and wraps them all in a feel good movie. Yeah it has its tropes, but it never leans in to them hard. They don’t use a typical Dean Martin song or have the climax so straight forward, it caresses your soul and evolves the characters in a very natural way.
I know it’s a rom com but man I wish it was longer. The supporting cast are all funny and if given more time this movie would have had a lot more laughs and gold vibes. Also, the music in this film is fantastic as I’m a big time fan of everyone involved.
Whether you love love or hate love, it’s a good flick. I’m watching this again as soon as I can.
